Sarcazmo's 7 other anticipated movies of 2011.

7. Green Lantern. June17, 2011. Has a solid cast, but I'm not sold on superpowered rings. The ace in the hole here is the director, Martin Campbell, he of Goldeneye and Casino Royale fame.
6. The Thing remake. April 29, 2011. John Carpenters The Thing is classic. So I am slightly interested in this prequel. Although the lack of any names in the cast could mean trouble.

  5. The Night Chronicles: Devil. Produced by M. Night, not directed by,  which means it wont suck as much. The story is about a group of people trapped in an elevator, they eventually realize the devil is trapped with them. Very interesting. I'm already guessing the twist....that the elevator is going straight to hell and all people aboard are already dead. I have read nothing and know nothing, but that is my guess.
4. Immortals. Formerly ( War of the Gods). Main thing here is Mickey Rourke is in it, thats enough for me. A battle against demons? Sounds good. 300 meets Clash of the Titans.

3. The Rite. Jan 28, 2011.  Hopefully this movie has the "rite" stuff. Anthony Hopkins plays a priest, who goes to school for exorcism 101, and then has to give one.  Likely candidate for scariest movie of the year. Likelier candidate for dullest movie of the year. I bet  this one is talky.

2. Priest. May 13, 2011. A priest goes after vampires who kidnapped his niece. This is Blade meets Legion with Bettany playing pretty much the same charatcer. Hope this isnt the talkfest that  Legion was.

1. The Cabin in the Woods. Jan 14, 2011. Written by Joss "Buffy" Whedon, not much is known about  "the horror movie to end all horror movies", but I'm pretty intrigued. Apparently the script is out there in internet land and there are monsters galore in this. I might even venture into the theaters for this one.

  1. Those look good man, I'm not sure about the cast of The Green Lantern though. I would like to see more "Iron Man" and less "Pineapple Express" in this movie.
